Team Ward 17

You rock.

All of you.

Prescy, Marion, Marie, Asunya, Besrat, Razna, Amy, Wendy, Nimala, MaryAnn (and any we've forgotten).

Nurses and Health Care Assistants (and a Pharmacist) from the moment we set foot on Ward 17 you looked after us. You went above and beyond whether it was 7.30 in the morning, 10.30 at night or in the small hours. You checked our blood pressure and brought us sandwiches. You encouraged us, helped us out of bed, helped us to the loo, helped us back into bed. You held Sarah's hand when she wouldn't stop throwing up. You smuggled us bananas between the bays. You made us laugh - proper laugh and you always had a smile. We were not the only people on the ward, you were all constantly run off your feet but you never let us see how tired you were (although you must have been after your 12 hour shifts). You made Ward 17 one of the nicest places to be. Our gratitude to you is huge. The job you do is wonderful and we valued every minute of the time you spent with us keeping us positive and nursing us back to health. You're all still there now while we sit on the sofa getting better just doing what you do. Brilliantly.

We are both in absolute agreement that our recovery wouldn't have been as good if it hadn't been for the care you provided us with (and obviously the fantastic job Mr Bagul did in surgery, but he can have his moment later when we do a nice post about him). Thanks ladies, thanks team ward 17 xx
